The topic of “supercharging of internal combustion engines” leads to highly responsive sports engines with ultimate responsiveness when using ASA compressors.
Due to the compressor drive via the crankshaft, the pressure buildup takes place without delay with increasing engine speed. Compared to turbocharged engines, the energy required to drive the compressor will not come from the exhaust gas turbine.
Even if supercharged engines are no longer the “state of the art”, the interaction between the engine and the compressor, which is what radial compressors are all about, is unique in terms of sports engine characteristics. Also conceivable are combinations of ATL and compressor.ASA has developed a radial compressor for such an application in the automotive sector (Alpina, Buchloe) and delivered it in thousands of units.
