Pulley with integrated hydraulic torsional vibration damper (RS-HTS)

The new RS‑HTS, introduced in Q4/2025, replaces our K05/K07 radial centrifugal clutches, which have proven themselves over decades of use. Instead of disengaging, the RS‑HTS establishes a permanent power connection – yet still dampens rotational irregularities, especially in the near-idle range. The result: smooth operation with an ultra-compact design.

What makes it better

  • Quiet operation: Smooth power delivery, no gearbox rattling when idling.
  • Effective damping: An integrated hydraulic torsion vibration damper reduces torsional vibration coming from the engine and lowers noise in the compressor.
  • Ultra-compact: pulleys available with outer diameters starting at 80 mm – ideal for tight installation spaces.
  • Permanent power transmission: No disengagement at low speeds – torque transmission remains constant.
  • Lightweight & low inertia: Intelligent lightweight construction made of steel and aluminum – minimized mass inertia (rotational and translational), fast start-up dynamics, low weight.
  • Easy service: If increased noise occurs after long periods of operation, only 2 O-rings, 4 silicone dampers, and a little special oil need to be replaced with our inexpensive maintenance package—that’s it.
  • Comes standard with 8 PK belt specification => suitable for most vehicles with 6/7/8 PK Poly-V belt drive

 Technical data

  • Design: Pulley with integrated HTS (hydraulic torsion vibration damper).
  • Pulley profile: 8 ribs (PK profile).
  • Axial position adjustable in 0.1 mm increments via shims
  • Diameter: 80–160 mm available in 20 mm increments.
  • Material: High-strength aluminum, corrosion-protected.
  • Operation: Permanently coupled, torsion-damped.
  • Damping fluid: ASA special oil 2B57
  • Weight: Ø 80mm approx. 250 g ready for operation

Maintenance

  • Interval: Every 3 years, or 50,000 km, or if noise levels increase.
  • Scope of maintenance package (P 480 12 34): 2 O-rings, injector with hose and filled with special oil (ASA 2B57), 2 x screw plugs. Time requirement: A few minutes.

  • Now available in combination with the T6.
