Air bubbles
Whether bubble curtains or oxygen injection…
Applications in water place special demands on technology and design. We understand these requirements and deliver customized compressor solutions that can be integrated into water technology systems.
With our experience in generation of compressed air, we create the basis for reliable, efficient, and sustainable processes.
Air bubble curtain – protection, guidance, and shielding in water
Air bubble curtains consist of finely distributed air bubbles that rise through perforated pipes or diffusers in the water and form an “invisible barrier.” They are used, among other things, for
- Shielding dirt, sediments, or oil films
- Noise reduction during underwater work
- Guiding fish at hydroelectric power plants
- Separating water areas in ports, locks, or industrial facilities
Oxygen injection in wastewater treatment tanks – the basis of modern wastewater treatment
In biological wastewater treatment, oxygen is the key factor in the breakdown of organic matter. Compressed air is used to introduce fine bubbles of oxygen into aeration tanks to provide optimal living conditions for microorganisms. This process is one of the most energy-intensive steps in a wastewater treatment plant – and therefore particularly relevant for efficient ASA compressor technology.
Our compressors are designed to…
- Provide large volumes of air reliably 24/7 with low maintenance
- Flexibly respond to load fluctuations
- Enable stable, demand-based oxygenation
- Prevent foreign substances (e.g., lubricants) from entering the water thanks to our sealing technology
